Folio: Spending Made Clear shows where your money goes, from your own bank statements, privately, on your device.

How do I add a statement?

Tap Add your first statement (or the menu › Add a statement) and choose your bank's PDF from Files, iCloud Drive or another app. You can also use a photo, screenshot or pasted picture of your bank's transaction list; it's read on your device. Folio checks every purchase against the statement's totals before anything is saved.

Which banks work?

Folio reads PDF statements from the major banks in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada, plus photos or screenshots of a transaction list, all on your device. If yours does not read cleanly, email us the bank name (never the statement) and we will add it. You can also add any purchase by hand.

I changed my face or fingerprint, or got a new phone

Folio falls back to your device passcode. On a new device, restore your encrypted backup with the recovery secret you saved when you set Folio up.

What is Folio Plus?

An optional upgrade, bought through the App Store: monthly or yearly (each with a free week), or a single Lifetime purchase. To restore it on a new device, open the Plus sheet and tap Restore purchases. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings, and Apple handles all billing and refunds.

Does Folio connect to my bank or upload my data?

No. Nothing is uploaded and there's no account. See the privacy policy.
